CK6S – Special Event Station for the 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede
The Calgary Amateur Radio Association will be operating special event station CK6S, from July 5 to 15th celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede.
A special QSL card will be available through the QSL bureau or direct, following the CK6S/VE6AO QSL instructions on QRZ.com.
Planned frequencies are in the general portion of the US phone bands around 3.825, 7.180, 14.250, 21.320 & 28.475 +-QRM
All amateurs within the City of Calgary can also use special prefixes CJ6 for VA6 and CK6 for VE6 for the same period.

La Calgary Amateur Radio Association opérera la station pour événement spécial CK6S du 5 au 15 juillet pour célébrer le 100e anniversaire du Stampede de Calgary.

Special Event station VX3W

Members of the Manotick Amateur Radio Group will be operating special event station VX3W from Fort Wellington in Prescott, Ontario, on Saturday, May 19th from 10:00 EDT to 16:00 EDT (1400Z to 2000Z) to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.
Operating Modes: We will be operating on various HF bands, depending on the conditions. Local operators may be able to find us on simplex VHF and/or UHF. While most operations will be voice, we may also operate in digital modes.

Des membres du Manotick Amateur Radio Group vont opérer la station pour événement spécial VX3W à partir de Fort Wellington à Prescott, Ontario, le samedi 19 mai de 10:00 HAE à 16:00 HAE (1400Z à 2000Z), pour commémorer le 200e anniversaire de la guerre de 1812.
Modes d'opération: Nous opérerons sur diverses bandes HF, dépendant des conditions. Les opérateurs locaux pourront nous retrouver sur simplex THF et/ou UHF. Alors que la plupart des opérations seront en phonie, nous pourrons également opérer en modes digitaux.

Two new special event stations join the celebration of the World Amateur Radio Day and the 87th Anniversary of IARU.
P487IARU by the Aruba Amateur Radio Club. They will be active starting today until the end on the month. QSL information on QRZ.com
SK87WARD by the Föreningen Sveriges Sändareamatörer. They will be active on the HF bands (CW SSB and PSK31) from 00z to 24z only on April 18th. QSL via buro or SM6JSM; probably also LoTW.

Pour commémorer le 100e anniversaire du désastre du Titanic, le Marconi Radio Club de Terre-Neuve émettra un bulletin spécial près de 500 kHz, la fréquence de détresse utilisée par les officiers radio du Titanic pour envoyer leur appel CQD, de Cape Race, Terre-Neuve. S.V.P. écouter sur 507.77 kHz CW pour VX9MRC entre 0001 et 0400 UTC le 15 avril 2012. Prière de noter que ceci correspond à la nuit de samedi 14 avril, pour les écouteurs dans l'hémisphère ouest. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster, the Marconi Radio Club of Newfoundland will be transmitting a special bulletin near 500 kHz, the distress frequency used by the radio officers of the Titanic to send their CQD call to Cape, Race Newfoundland. Please listen on 507.77 kHz CW for VX9MRC between 0001 and 0400 UTC on 15 April 2012. Please note this corresponds to Saturday night, 14 April, for listeners in the western hemisphere.
