		<description>Not only is Amateur Radio growing south of the border, but my conversations with the ARRL Volunteer Examiner people at this year&#039;s Dayton Hamvention indicated that the vast majority of those 30,000+ &quot;new&quot; licensees who entered our Service in the USA in 2009 were in the &quot;40ish&quot; age bracket rather than the &quot;60ish&quot; age group of our hobby as a whole.

To me, this is VERY good news as it indicates we may (finally!) be starting to see a reversal of an increasingly disturbing trend in recent years where the average age of licensees in our Service has been creeping higher and higher.</description>
