[EMCOMM] – Post Tropical Storm Rafael to pass out to sea over the Southern Grand Banks of Newfoundland
2012-10-17
Hurricane Rafael has now been downgraded to Post Tropical and continues to move Northeast at 56KM/HR. Greatest rainfall is predicted to be well out to sea with minimal damage to the previous alerted affected areas. That said, folks living in the Southern Avalon Region of Newfoundland should prepare overnight for much larger than usual surf as maximum wave height over the Southern Grand Banks will reach more than 15 meters.
Thanks to all of you who have been on a heightened level of alert, but it seems that Rafael has come and gone.
